In addition to raising funds for charity, the Swapmart performs an important community service by providing the opportunity for residents to find a new home for used household items, raise funds and participate in a regular gathering with others. Many vendors and buyers have been regular participants in the Swapmart for much of its life. In line with normal Rotary practice, all funds raised for charity purposes are dedicated to the Club’s charitable projects. Some of the programs and projects supported by the Club are detailed on the following pages. Alongside its focus on local and international community projects, Rotary has a strong focus on fellowship, networking and the involvement of families in its activities.
